LHU Logistics and Supply Chain Management Students Gain Practical Experience at AJ Total Vietnam Cold Storage

Beyond acquiring knowledge through classroom-based learning, students of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program at Lac Hong University (LHU) are provided with opportunities to engage directly with corporate environments, observe real-world operations, and develop a clearer understanding of their future careers. The field visit and practical learning experience at AJ Total Vietnam Cold Storage provided students with valuable professional exposure, helping bridge academic knowledge with the practical realities of logistics and supply chain management.

On the morning of September 12, 2026, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University organized a field visit and practical learning session at AJ Total Vietnam Cold Storage for 41 students from class 25LG113 of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program. The activity was designed to strengthen the connection between academic education and professional practice, thereby helping students progressively bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and their future working environment. During the program, students were introduced to the company, toured the cold storage facility, and participated in interactive discussions and exchanges on topics of professional interest.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to experience a cold storage environment firsthand—an area closely associated with logistics and supply chain management operations. Concepts previously encountered through lectures and learning materials became more tangible as students observed an actual workplace and gained insights into the company’s operations. This experience enabled them to better connect their academic knowledge with professional practice while broadening their understanding of potential working environments within their chosen field.

While classroom learning provides students with a foundation of professional knowledge, field visits offer valuable opportunities to observe how such knowledge is applied in business operations. By directly visiting the cold storage facility, students gained a clearer understanding of one important component of logistics operations and developed greater awareness of the role of warehousing and goods preservation in the movement of products from suppliers to the market.

The program became particularly engaging during the interactive discussion and question-and-answer session. Students were encouraged to raise questions, explore issues of professional interest, and gain further insights into actual working environments and the competencies expected of human resources in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The experience also reinforced the importance of complementing professional knowledge with observation skills, effective communication, proactive learning, and adaptability to corporate environments—competencies that should be developed throughout the university learning process.

For students of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, practical experiences such as the visit to AJ Total Vietnam Cold Storage also make their field of study more tangible and accessible. From the broad concepts of logistics and supply chains introduced in the classroom, students were able to experience a real operational environment firsthand. This exposure provided them with a better understanding of the diversity of professional roles and areas that they may continue to explore during their studies and after graduation.

The field visit also reflected the Faculty of Finance and Accounting’s commitment to practice-oriented education and university–industry engagement. In addition to equipping students with professional knowledge in the classroom, field visits and practical learning activities at businesses bring students closer to professional environments and provide opportunities to observe, examine, and apply what they have learned in real-world contexts.

Each field visit, therefore, represents more than simply a company tour; it forms an integral part of students’ learning journey and career orientation. For students of class 25LG113 in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program, the experience at AJ Total Vietnam Cold Storage helped bring academic knowledge closer to professional practice while enhancing their understanding of their field of study, the corporate environment, and the competencies required for their future careers. From the classroom to the workplace, every practical learning experience represents another important step in preparing LHU Logistics and Supply Chain Management students to move forward with greater confidence on their future career paths.
