LHU and Chi Culture Joint Stock Company sign MoU

On August 18, 2023, the Department of Chinese Language, the Department of Vietnamese Studies, LHU jointly organized a signing ceremony of MoU with Chi Cultural Joint Stock Company (Chibooks).

The ceremony had the attendance of DSc. Lam Thanh Hien – Rector of LHU; DSc. Huynh Cao Tuan – Director of Information and Resources Center; Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies; Phan The Anh, M.A – Program Head of Chinese Language Department; Luong Van Huy, M.A - Department Head of Chinese Language; Do Thi Kim Oanh, M.A - Lecturer of Vietnamese Studies and other lecturers. From the Company, there were Ms. Nguyen Le Chi - Founder and General Director of Chibooks and Ms. Phung Thanh Binh An - Media Specialist.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, DSc. Lam Thanh Hien sincerely thanked Chi Culture Joint Stock Company for its visiting, cooperating and giving the University library 800 books. He also expected more cooperation programs between the University and Chibooks in the future.

Mr. Phan The Anh - Program Head of the Department of Chinese Language said "Through the MoU signing ceremony, the two sides will have many opportunities to exchange and learn in the future,  jointly promoting the reading culture among students." The two sides have also agreed to cooperate on Chinese workshops and study abroad programs for Chinese Language-majored students.

In her remarks, Ms. Nguyen Le Chi expressed her pleasure to cooperate with LHU. She also shared “With the goal of bringing books closer to young people in general and LHU students in particular, Chibooks hopes this book donation will contribute to helping students love reading more and encourage them to go to the library. In addition, Chibooks will introduce authors to exchange and share with students about reading culture in various fields, especially culture - literature to foster the spiritual life of students."
