FEL Strengthens International Academic Ties through an In-depth Workshop with UK Expert

On the morning of April 9, 2026, at Room B203 (Campus 1), the Faculty of English Language (FEL) at Lac Hong University successfully organized a workshop titled “Assessment and Feedback in EMI.” The event featured a keynote presentation by Dr. Rajab Ghandour from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom.

As part of a series of international academic initiatives, the workshop addressed one of the core pillars of modern pedagogy: Assessment and Feedback within the context of English Medium Instruction (EMI).

Dr. Rajab Ghandour introduced innovative perspectives through three primary focal points:
- Modern approaches to measuring learner competencies.
- Ensuring transparency and accuracy in measuring learning outcomes.
- Developing accessible feedback mechanisms to foster student confidence and academic proficiency.

Moving beyond pure theory, the program emphasized practical application by integrating Generative AI to optimize the learning experience. Through real-world case studies, participants had the opportunity to discuss pedagogical "bottlenecks" directly and receive expert guidance from the international specialist.

The vibrant interaction between lecturers, postgraduate students, and the expert unveiled cutting-edge teaching trends, while providing the Faculty’s teaching staff with modern toolkits for immediate classroom implementation.

Organizing the “Assessment and Feedback in EMI” workshop is a key component of the committed international partnership between Lạc Hồng University and Liverpool John Moores University. It stands as a testament to the Faculty’s continuous efforts to innovate, remain creative, and elevate training quality to meet international standards.

The workshop's success has left a lasting impression, motivating both faculty and students to achieve new academic milestones within the context of globalized education.
