Each year, Lac Hong University in general and the Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics (FAIE) in particular warmly welcome a new generation of students. At the same time, in recognition of the positive contributions of the specialized clubs as well as the academic efforts of students, FAIE recently organized a program to welcome first-year students; commend the Executive Boards of the clubs; and honor students with outstanding academic achievements in the 2020–2021 academic year.
The program commenced at 8:00 with the attendance of:
PhD Lam Thanh Hien – Rector of the University;
PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of FAIE;
MB Ta Thi Thanh Huong – Vice Dean of FAIE;
PhD Nguyen Van Trung – Head of the Admissions Board of LHU;

Comrade Le Son Quang – Secretary of the Youth Union of the University;

Especially with the presence of Mr. Hoang Trong Hung – Sales Manager of FPT, the accompanying and sponsoring unit of the program;
Along with all heads of majors, heads of divisions, lecturers, staff members of the Faculty, and more than 200 students attending the program.
The 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 academic years were truly two very special academic years for all pupils and students nationwide. Students and lecturers had to be apart, and learning and teaching were conducted online. Today, as the first program held after a long period of online study, research, and activities, students had the opportunity to participate in in-person activities, meet, and interact directly with lecturers and peers. In addition to providing specialized knowledge to students, FAIE also pays attention to students’ spiritual well-being and strives to enable them to access practical knowledge from enterprises. While the COVID-19 pandemic seemed to paralyze most activities, student activities at FAIE remained vibrant and enthusiastic through five specialized clubs. These activities were also revisited through a short video summarizing the journey shared by all lecturers of the Faculty and students. Though only four minutes long, the video encapsulated all programs, activities, and memorable and emotional moments.
In addition, the program presented awards for the video design contest titled “Moments of Gratitude” organized by the Business Administration Club in celebration of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20 November) and launched the “Book Donation and Exchange” program of the specialized clubs. Many young people love reading but face financial difficulties or the need to find books that are out of print. There is also a waste of book resources when individuals only wish to purchase and keep books for themselves without sharing them with others. For students, the costs of purchasing and printing learning materials at the beginning of each semester are also significant. Recognizing this situation, the Business Administration Club of FAIE organized a book and learning material exchange day in parallel with activities in the series of programs welcoming first-year students and welcoming all students back to campus after the pandemic. Through this activity, the organizers aim to spread the initiative across majors and faculties throughout the University, helping to partially reduce the burden on disadvantaged students. All books and materials will be classified and redistributed to registered classes.
The program took place in a solemn and warm atmosphere while remaining vibrant, reflecting the enthusiastic spirit of the first-year students and signaling a promising academic year ahead. We wish students to quickly integrate into the new environment and embark on a new journey filled with experiences and success at FAIE, Lac Hong University. Let us accompany one another, overcome difficulties, and conquer the dreams ahead. The program concluded at 11:00 on the same day.
