Nguyen Xuan Truong Wins Third Prize in the Photo Contest “The Imprint of the Blue Shirt”.

On 28 February 2022, as part of the series of activities commemorating the 91st anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26 March 1931 – 26 March 2022), and with the aim of spreading beautiful images and promoting meaningful and practical activities associated with the blue youth shirt, the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union organized the photo contest titled “The Imprint of the Blue Shirt.”

After a period of fair and transparent evaluation, on 12 April 2022, the Organizing Committee selected the most outstanding photographs. Lac Hong University was proud to have Nguyen Xuan Truong from Class 19QT112, Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics (FAIE), win third prize.

Regarding the contest, Xuan Truong shared that he had previously seen the announcement from the University Youth Union. After reviewing the rules and participation guidelines, he decided to join the contest immediately.

Xuan Truong shared: “When I learned that I had won third prize in the photo contest ‘The Imprint of the Blue Shirt,’ I was very surprised and happy. I told myself that I would continue to promote a spirit of dynamism, creativity, enthusiasm, and live wholeheartedly during my youth. Especially, the contest has left an unforgettable mark on my student years, a beautiful memory that I will likely always cherish. When looking back on my youth, I will have no regrets and can be proud of how much effort and perseverance I put in during those days.”

With enthusiasm and a passion for Youth Union and Student Association activities, Xuan Truong has actively participated in numerous activities organized by the Faculty and the University, such as the Mid-Autumn Festival Program aimed at supporting orphans and disadvantaged children while creating a joyful lantern procession and singing night for children at Thien Than Shelter; participation in the 2020–2022 academic year camp; charitable funds; the program “Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics Student Festival for the 2020–2021 Academic Year” commemorating the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26 March 1931 – 26 March 2021). In December 2021, he won third prize individually in the contest “Moments of Gratitude” launched by FAIE. Notably, in the 2020–2021 academic year, Xuan Truong achieved the title of Youth Leader – “Outstanding Student Association Officer” at the provincial level in Dong Nai, and was awarded the title of “Five-Good Student” for the 2020–2021 academic year, among other achievements.

Xuan Truong not only demonstrates his capabilities through active participation in activities but also through commendable academic achievements. Over the years, he has consistently achieved Excellent Student status and has been recognized as an outstanding student. He is always willing to support his classmates in their studies. For these reasons, he is well respected and appreciated by lecturers and peers.

As a son of Phu Yen Province with a difficult family background, Xuan Truong further shared about his family: “My family has four members. My father works as a construction laborer in Ho Chi Minh City and only occasionally returns home. My mother, a strong and resilient woman, also works as a construction laborer in our hometown. She does not hesitate to endure hardships so that my sister and I can pursue our education fully and not feel disadvantaged compared to our friends.”

Through his family circumstances, it can be seen that behind these noble achievements lies a continuous process of effort, exploration, learning, and perseverance in the face of difficulties. Xuan Truong can truly be considered outstanding and a shining example for all of us to follow.
